SUMMARY OF OUR POLICIES
AND SERVICES PROVIDED
Initial Assessment
This session will last
approximately an hour, and will include:
· Taking
a case history
· Discussion
with parents/carers
· Informal
assessment of the client
· Formal
assessment of client if required, and relevant materials
· Written
summary report of findings
· Discussion
regarding further intervention
If it appears that the
assessment will take considerably longer than 1 hour, then further assessment sessions will be agreed and charged at the standard
hourly rate.
Please note that if liaison
with other professionals is required and is time consuming then this time will be charged for at the standard hourly
rate.
Hour Long Sessions
Each session will normally last around one hour. Young children can be seen for half an hour, at a reduced
rate. The session charge also includes:
· Prepared
activities to use with the client
· Additional
activities for parent/carers to use with the client
· Writing
case notes
Most equipment required
will be provided by the therapist, but in some cases, where expensive, specialist equipment is recommended, an agreement between
therapist and client regarding payment will be discussed.
Payment of Fees
Payment will be required
at the end of each session, by cash or cheque. Receipts will be issued.
Cancellation
Notice of a cancellation
of an appointment must be received within 24 hours, or the standard rate will be charged.
Private Health Insurance
If you have Private Health Insurance
you may be able to claim back the cost of your therapy and it is up to you to do so.
Payment, by cash or cheque at the point of delivery will still apply.
